How Ohh Folk!! collects, uses, and protects the little information it asks of you.

    Last updated: July 2026

    Overview

Ohh Folk!! is a folktale storytelling podcast. This page explains what little information we collect when you visit ohhfolk.com, how we use it, and who to contact if you have questions.

    Information We Collect

Contact form. When you write to us through the Contact page, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. This is sent directly to our inbox by email and is not stored in a database on this site.

Episode “Love” button. Loving an episode sets a small cookie in your browser (e.g. loved_123) so we remember you have already loved that episode. It contains no personal information, is never shared, and expires after one year.

Basic technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details — such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited — for security and performance purposes.

    How We Use Your Information

    • To read and reply to messages sent through the Contact page.
    • To keep track of aggregate episode “love” counts, not who loved what.
    • To keep the site secure and running smoothly.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

    Third-Party Links & Embedded Content

Episode pages link to and, in some cases, embed players from Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music. If you interact with these players or follow these links, the respective platform’s own privacy policy applies — we have no control over the data those services collect.

    Data Retention

Contact messages remain in our email inbox until we choose to delete them. The “loved” cookie in your browser expires automatically after one year.

    Your Rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing us at the address below.

    Children’s Privacy

Ohh Folk!! is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

    Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally as the site changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
