Folktales of Afghanistan – Goat Story

Another gem from the land of unknowns, Afghanistan. So much of the rich heritage and culture of what was once considered the ‘world’s friendliest country’ is still unknown to the world. This episode introduces you to Buzak Chini, also known as Buz-e-Chini, a famous Afghani folktale hardly known outside of Afghanistan. This story has a strong cultural significance related to the famous Bamiyan valleys that used to be the home of the iconic Bamiyan Buddhas until they were brought down in 2001.
